ABOUT LYNN
Podcast Host, Best-Selling & Award-Winning Author, Speaker
Lynn McLaughlin is a respected educator, award-winning author, speaker, and brain tumour survivor based in Kingsville, Ontario. She founded Lynn McLaughlin Inc. to promote emotional well-being and hosts the podcast "Taking the Helm," inspiring parents, educators, and children to cultivate lifelong resilience with over 150 guests to date.
Lynn has held roles including Superintendent, Principal, Teacher, and Educational Consultant, and also teaches future Educational Assistants. She offers workshops to educators and/or educators titled, “Heart Matters”.
She co-authored the Mom’s Choice Award-winning Power of Thought children’s book series with her niece Amber Raymond (MSW). Her memoir "Steering Through It" shares her personal brain tumour journey, Lynn’s novel "Jackson," about a family’s struggle with debilitating anxiety, won the Independent Press Award for Best Fiction Audiobook and was an Amazon Canada bestseller. She also writes for her local newspaper.
Lynn is the proud recipient of a global award from Women Changing the World. in the category of Education. Much appreciation to Trish Tonaj of ShareYourStories.online and to the women who lift each other up daily.
Actively involved in her community, Lynn is a member of 100 Women Who Care Windsor/Essex, and is an active Rotarian.
