Where Well-Being and
Literacy Meet
Empowering children, educators, and families with the skills to read, think, connect, and thrive.
With more than 35 years in education, Lynn McLaughlin is an award-winning educator, author, speaker, and education consultant who believes children need to be taught both how to read and how to navigate life's challenges.
Her work brings literacy and well-being together, giving educators, parents, and communities practical tools they can use to help children learn, grow, and thrive.
Literacy
Reading must be explicitly taught, and how we teach it matters.
Lynn helps educators and school leaders understand how children learn to read and how evidence-based instruction can translate into effective classroom practice.
Well-Being
Children need to be taught the skills to understand themselves, build confidence and self-awareness, regulate their emotions, make positive choices, and develop problem-solving skills.
Through speaking, resources, and The Power of Thought children's book series, Lynn helps parents, educators, and communities give children practical tools they can use in everyday life.

Taking the Helm
Conversations with educators, authors, experts and changemakers about learning, literacy, leadership and well-being. Almost 170 guests over 6 years!
Lynn teamed up with her niece, Amber Raymond (MSW) to publish the Power of Thought book series. Have fun beaming off to a fictional planet made of crystals, where children don’t know how to manage their emotions and glow in the colour they are feeling. They learn proven strategies to build resilience, social and problem-solving skills, confidence and empathy.
